“The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who ranks before me, for he was before me.’ I myself did not know him; but for this I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel.” John 1:29-31.

“Your God is of your flesh.  He lives in your nearest neighbor, in everyone.” St. Francis of Assisi.

Lord Jesus, John knew the purpose and mission of coming ahead of You: to reveal You to the world. Lord, may we know who we are, the purpose and mission of our life so that we can live a meaning filled life. Amen.

"Al día siguiente, Juan vio a Jesús que venía hacia él, y dijo: "¡He aquí el Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo! Este es aquel de quien dije: 'Después de mí viene un hombre que está delante de mí, porque él estaba antes que yo'. Yo mismo no lo conocía; pero para esto vine bautizando con agua, para que se revelara a Israel". Juan 1:29-31.

"Tu Dios es de tu carne.  Vive en tu prójimo más cercano, en todos". San Francisco de Asís.

Señor Jesús, Juan conocía el propósito y la misión de venir delante de Ti: revelarte al mundo. Señor, que sepamos quiénes somos, el propósito y la misión de nuestra vida para que podamos vivir una vida llena de significado. Amén.
