“But that you may know, that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins’ – He then said to the paralytic ‘Rise, pick up your stretcher and go home.’  When the crowds saw this, they were struck with awe and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.” Matthew 9:6-8.

“No one can begin a new life, unless he repents of the old.” St. Augustine.

My God, what mercy You have shown, in giving us the sacrament of reconciliation. Your authority, the word of Jesus, given to men – to cleanse us and lift us up to begin anew, for this we are so thankful. May You be blest forever. Amen.

"Sepas, pues que el Hijo del Hombre tiene la autoridad en la tierra para perdonar los pecados", entonces le dijo al paralítico: "Levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a casa".  Cuando las multitudes vieron esto, quedaron asombrados y glorificaron a Dios, que había dado tanta autoridad a los hombres". Mateo 9:6-8.

"Nadie puede comenzar una nueva vida, a menos que se arrepienta de lo viejo". St. Augustine.

Dios mío, qué misericordia has mostrado, al darnos el sacramento de la reconciliación.  Tu autoridad, la palabra de Jesús, dada a los hombres, para limpiarnos y levantarnos para comenzar de nuevo, por esto estamos muy agradecidos. Que seas bendecido para siempre. Amén.
