“The woman was a Greek…and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter. He said to her ‘Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.’ She replied to him ‘Lord even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.’ Then he said to her ‘For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” Mark 7:26-29.

“The greater and more persistent your confidence in God, the more abundantly you will receive what you ask.” St. Albert the Great.

Lord God, Your heart was moved by the faith and persistence of this woman. ‘For saying this, You may go…’ In her trust and desire, she obtained from You what she wanted, her daughter’s healing. May we persist like her, in faith and trust, and obtain all we need from You. Amen.

"La mujer era griega... Y ella le rogó que expulsara al demonio de su hija. Él le dijo: "Deja que los niños sean alimentados primero. Porque no es justo tomar la comida de los niños y echársela a los perritos". Ella le respondió: "Señor, hasta los perritos que están debajo de la mesa se comen las sobras de los niños". Jesus le dijo: "Puedes irte; por lo que has dicho el demonio ha salido de tu hija". Marcos 7:26-29.

"Cuanto mayor y más persistente sea su confianza en Dios, más abundantemente recibiran lo que piden" San Alberto Magno.

Señor Dios, Tu corazón fue conmovido por la fe y la persistencia de esta mujer. 'Por decir esto, puedes irte...' En su confianza y deseo, obtuvo de Ti lo que quería, la curación de su hija. Que persistamos como ella, en fe y confianza, y obtengamos todo lo que necesitamos de Ti. Amén.
