“Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opened not his mouth. In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who will tell of his posterity? For his life is taken from the earth.
Then the eunuch said to Philip in reply, “I beg you, about whom is the prophet saying this? About himself, or about someone else?” Then Philip opened his mouth and, beginning with this Scripture passage, he proclaimed Jesus to him,” (Acts 8:32-35).

“From Humility of Heart proceed serenity of mind, gentleness of conduct, interior peace, and every good,”  St. Paul of the Cross

Father, your Son was the innocent lamb sacrificed for humanity that we may be one with you again. He was humiliated and he never hit back! We come to you today, Lord, give us the grace to be humble and gracious when family and friends share the naked truth with us, criticize us which may at time make us feel humiliated. May our magnanimity be the open book for us all to learn to live humbly and ever accommodating of others and their views, that your name be glorified. Amen.

 “Fue llevado como oveja al matadero, como cordero mudo ante el que lo trasquila, no abrió su boca. Fue humillado y privado de sus derechos. ¿Quién podrá hablar de su descendencia? Porque su vida fue arrancada de la tierra.
El etíope pregunto a Felipe: “Dime, por favor, ¿a quién se refiere el profeta? ¿A sí mismo o a otro?” Felipe empezó a hablar y a anunciarle a Jesús, partiendo de este texto de la Escritura,” (Hechos 8:32-35).

 “De la Humildad del Corazón procede la serenidad de la mente, la bondad en la conducta, la paz interior, y todo bien,”  San Pablo de la Cruz

Padre, tu Hijo fue el inocente cordero sacrificado por la humanidad para que podamos ser uno contigo de nuevo. El fue humillado y nunca se defendió! Acudimos a ti hoy, Señor, para pedirte la gracia de ser humildes y amables cuando las familias y los amigos compartan la verdad desnuda con nosotros, o que a veces nos critiquen y nos hagan sentir humillados. Que nuestra magnanimidad sea el libro abierto en el que todos  aprendamos a vivir con humildad para comprender a los demás y aceptar sus opiniones, para que tu nombre sea glorificado. Amen
