Saturday, December 31, 2022 – Seventh Day in the Octave of Christmas

“All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:3-5.

“Whenever you begin any good work you should first of all make a most pressing appeal to Christ our Lord to bring it to perfection.” St. Benedict.

My God, you created the one human race for eternal life.  Even now, your life in us is leading us to our eternal home. May we see in all people, the light of God, sometimes hidden, sometimes visible, but always there. We are one, we are yours forever Lord. Amen.

"Todas las cosas llegaron a ser a través de él, y sin él nada llegó a ser. Lo que vino a ser a través de él fue la vida, y esta vida fue la luz de la raza humana; La luz brilla en la oscuridad, y la oscuridad no la ha vencido". Juan 1:3-5.

Dios mío, tú creaste a la única raza humana para la vida eterna.  Incluso ahora, tu vida en nosotros nos está llevando a nuestro hogar eterno. Que podamos ver en todas las personas, la luz de Dios, a veces oculta, a veces visible, pero siempre ahí. Somos uno, somos tuyos para siempre, Señor. Amén.
