Feast of St. Stephen, the First Martyr. “In those days: Stephen, full of grace and power, did great wonders and signs among the people . . . But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke. Then they secretly instigated some men to say, ‘We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God,” (Acts 6:8, 10-11).

Loving Father, the world we live in is cruel! Protect us against them; protect those you have graced and empowered to do great wonders and signs among us. Fight their battles; fight our battles and grant us success over all enemies raging against us. Amen.

Fiesta de San Esteban, el Primer Mártir. "En aquellos días: Esteban, lleno de gracia y poder, hizo grandes maravillas y señales entre el pueblo... Pero no pudieron soportar la sabiduría y el Espíritu con el que habló. Entonces instigaron en secreto a algunos hombres para que dijeran: 'Lo hemos oído hablar palabras blasfemas contra Moisés y Dios" (Hechos 6:8, 10-11).

Padre Amado, el mundo en el que vivimos es cruel! Protégenos contra ellos; protege a aquellos a quienes has agraciado y empoderado para hacer grandes maravillas y señales entre nosotros. Lucha sus batallas; lucha nuestras batallas y concédenos éxito sobre los enemigos furiosos contra nosotros. Amén.
