“Thus says the Lord ‘I will allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak to her heart. She shall respond there as in the days of her youth…On that day says the Lord, she shall call me her husband, and never again my baal. I will espouse you to me forever…and you shall know the Lord.” Hosea 2:14-17, 19-20.

“Take away from love the fullness of self-surrender, the completeness of personal commitment, and what remains will be a total denial and negation of it.” St. Pope John Paul II.

My God, You reveal the depths of Your love, when we are led into the desert, and have nothing to cling to but You. You enter by way of the heart, and there You flood us with Your love, Your very Presence. May we stop and seek You today, Lord, even if all we see is desert, for Your light and joy will surely fill us. Amen.

"Así dice el Señor: 'Yo conduciré a Israel, mi esposa fiel al desierto y hablaré a su corazón. Ella responderá allí como en los días de su juventud... Aquel día, dice el Señor, ella me llamará su esposo, y nunca más Baal mío. Te desposaré conmigo para siempre... y conoceréis al Señor". Oseas 2:14-17, 19-20.

"Quita del amor la plenitud de la entrega, la plenitud del compromiso personal, y lo que queda será una total negación y negación de mismo" San Juan Pablo II.

Dios mío, Tú revelas las profundidades de Tu amor, cuando somos conducidos al desierto, y no tenemos nada a que aferrarnos sino a Ti. Entras por el camino del corazón, y allí nos inundas con Tu amor, Tu misma Presencia. Que nos detengamos y te busquemos hoy, Señor, incluso si todo lo que vemos es desierto, porque Tu luz y gozo seguramente nos llenarán. Amén.
