“A new king, who knew nothing of Joseph, came to power in Egypt. He said to his subjects . . . Come let us deal shrewdly with them to stop their increase . . . Accordingly, taskmasters were set over the children of Israel to oppress them with forced labor . . . Yet the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread. The Egyptians, then dreaded the children of Israel and reduced them to cruel slavery, making life bitter for them with hard work.” Exodus 1:8, 10-13.

Lord Jesus, sometimes we suffer because people have forgotten our contributions and they entertain plans of reducing us and getting rid of us. Fight for us Lord as You did with Your chosen people; may we prosper even though we may be oppressed. Amen.

"Un nuevo rey, que no sabía nada de José, llegó al poder en Egipto. Dijo a sus súbditos. . . Vengan, tratemos astutamente con ellos para detener su aumento. . . En consecuencia, se establecieron capataces sobre los hijos de Israel para oprimirlos con trabajos forzados. . . Sin embargo, cuanto más estaban oprimidos, más se multiplicaban y se extendían. Los egipcios, entonces temían a los hijos de Israel y los redujeron a una cruel esclavitud, haciéndoles la vida amarga con trabajo duro". Éxodo 1:8, 10-13.

Señor Jesús, a veces sufrimos porque las personas han olvidado nuestras contribuciones y contemplan planes de reducirnos y deshacerse de nosotros. Lucha por nosotros, Señor, como lo hiciste con Tu pueblo elegido; Que prosperemos, aunque seamos oprimidos. Amén.
