“No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; if he does, the patch tears away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; if he does, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and so are the skins; but new wine is for fresh skins.” Mark 2:21-22.

Lord Jesus, You teach against patch work; an old piece here a new one there, new and old mixed inadequately. Teach us to be straight forward, doing things correctly instead of the careless mixes we try to manufacture. Amen.

"Nadie cose un trozo de tela nueva en una prenda vieja; Si lo hace, el parche se arranca de él, lo nuevo de lo viejo, y se hace un desgarro peor. Y nadie pone vino nuevo en odres viejos; si lo hace, el vino romperá las pieles, y el vino se perderá, y también las pieles; Pero el vino nuevo es para pieles frescas". Marcos 2:21-22.

Señor Jesús, Tú enseñas contra el trabajo de parches; Una vieja pieza aquí y una nueva allá, nueva y vieja mezcladas inadecuadamente. Enséñanos a ser directos, haciendo las cosas correctamente en lugar de las mezclas descuidadas que intentamos fabricar. Amén.
