The Most Holy Name of Jesus, Monday January 3, 2022

God Saves! “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11.

“The name of Jesus is in fact the great foundation of the faith that turns people into children of God.  The Catholic Faith rests in Jesus as light of the soul, gate of life, and foundation of eternal salvation.” St. Bernardine of Siena.

Father, You sent us Your Son so that through Him we may be saved. There is no other name which offers what He offers. Save us from selfishness and ego centrism; that like Him people may be better because they came in contact with us. Amen.

¡Dios salva! "Por lo tanto, Dios lo ha exaltado y le ha otorgado el nombre que está por encima de todo nombre, para que en el nombre de Jesús toda rodilla se incline, en el cielo y en la tierra y debajo de la tierra, y toda lengua confiese que Jesucristo es el Señor, para la gloria de Dios el Padre". Filipenses 2:9-11.

"El nombre de Jesús es, de hecho, el gran fundamento de la fe que convierte a las personas en hijos de Dios.  La fe católica descansa en Jesús como luz del alma, puerta de vida y fundamento de la salvación eterna". San Bernardino de Siena.

Padre, Tú nos enviaste a Tu Hijo para que por medio de Él seamos salvos. No hay otro nombre que ofrezca lo que Él ofrece. Sálvanos del egoísmo y del egocentrismo; para que, como Él, las personas sean mejores porque entraron en contacto con nosotros. Amén.
