“When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat’; and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky; but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? “And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?” Luke 12:54-57.

“The times are evil, the times are troubled, that’s what people say. Let us live good lives, and the times are good. We ourselves are the times.” St. Augustine.

Lord Jesus, You rebuke the people of Your time for failing to judge rightly. I come to You that imbued with Your wisdom I may always judge what is right as I do in other spheres of my life. Amen.

"Cuando ves una nube que se levanta en el oeste, dices de inmediato: 'Se acerca un aguacero'; Y así sucede. Y cuando ves soplar el viento del sur, dices: 'Hará un calor abrasador'; Y sucede. ¡Hipócritas! Sabes interpretar la apariencia de la tierra y el cielo; Pero, ¿por qué no sabes interpretar el tiempo presente? "¿Y por qué no juzgan por ustedes mismos lo que es justo?" Lucas 12:54-57.

"Los tiempos son malos, los tiempos son turbulentos, eso es lo que dice la gente. Vivamos una buena vida, y los tiempos son buenos. Nosotros mismos somos los tiempos." San Agustín.

Señor Jesús, Tú reprendes a la gente de Tu tiempo por no juzgar correctamente. Vengo a Ti para que, imbuido de Tu sabiduría, siempre pueda juzgar lo que es correcto como lo hago en otras esferas de mi vida. Amén.
