Friday April 7, 2023 Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion

“Yet it was our infirmities he bore, our sufferings he endured…he was pierced for our offenses, and crushed for our sins, upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by his stripes we were healed…the Lord laid upon him the guilt of us all.” Isaiah 53:5-6.

“Love Jesus, love Him very much. But to do this, be ready to love sacrifice more.” St. Padre Pio.

Heavenly Father, You sent Your Son, to endure all manner of suffering, for us, that we would be healed, that we would live with You forever.  We repent of all we have done to offend You, of taking for granted the suffering of Jesus.  Let his suffering truly penetrate our souls today, that we may go forth in profound gratitude. Amen.

Viernes 7 de abril 2023 Viernes Santo de la Pasión del Señor

"Sin embargo, fueron nuestras enfermedades las que llevó, nuestros sufrimientos los que soportó... Él fue traspasado por nuestras ofensas, y aplastado por nuestros pecados, sobre él fue el castigo que nos hace completos, por sus llagas fuimos sanados ... el Señor puso sobre él la culpa de todos nosotros". Isaías 53:5-6.

"Ama a Jesús, ámalo mucho. Pero para hacer esto, prepárate para amar más el sacrificio". San Padre Pío.

Padre celestial, enviaste a Tu Hijo para soportar toda clase de sufrimiento, por nosotros, para que seamos sanados, para que vivamos contigo para siempre.  Nos arrepentimos de todo lo que hemos hecho para ofenderte, de dar por sentado el sufrimiento de Jesús.  Que su sufrimiento penetre verdaderamente en nuestras almas hoy, para que podamos salir en profunda gratitud. Amén.
