Easter Saturday , April 18

"Later, as the Eleven were at table, he appeared to them and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart because they had not believed those who saw him after he had been raised. He said to them, "Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature," (Mk. 16:14-15).

“Each one of you has to be God’s microphone.  Each one of you has to be a messenger, a prophet.  The Church will always exist, as long as there is someone who has been baptized…where is your baptism?  You are baptized in your professions, in the fields of workers, in the market.  Wherever there is someone who has been baptized, that is where the Church is.  There is a prophet there.” Saint Oscar Romero

Father in Heaven, like the Eleven, we too are sometimes unbelieving, we are sometimes hard of heart; we are slow at believing. Have mercy on us. Where you send us, Lord, we shall go to proclaim your Gospel of love, care and protection that every creature may submit to you and believe that you love, care and protect. Amen

"Por último se apareció a los once discípulos mientras comían, y los reprendió por su falta de fe y por su dureza para creer a los que lo habían visto resucitado. Y les dijo: Vayan por todo el mundo y anuncien la Buena Nueva a toda la Creación," (Marcos 16:14-15).

“Cada uno de ustedes tienen que ser el micrófono de Dios. Cada uno de ustedes tiene que ser un mensajero, un profeta. La Iglesia existirá siempre, mientras que haya alguien que haya sido bautizado… ¿Dónde está su bautismo? Ustedes están bautizados en sus profesiones, en los campos de trabajo, en el mercado. Dondequiera que esté alguien que haya sido bautizado, allí es donde está la Iglesia. Allí está un profeta.” San Oscar Romero

Padre en el cielo, como los Once, también nosotros somos descreídos algunas veces, también a veces, se nos endurece el corazón; somos lentos para creer. Ten misericordia de nosotros. A donde nos envíes, Señor, iremos a proclamar tu Evangelio de amor, de compasión y protección, que todas las creaturas puedan someterse a ti y crean que tú amas, eres compasivo y nos proteges. Amen
