ASH WEDNESDAY - March 2, 2022 – Beginning of Lent.

Our Holy Father, Pope Francis,  requests us to pray and fast for peace in the Ukraine.

“Even now,” says the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and tear your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy, and repents of evil.” Joel 2:12-13.

“Jesus gives all to those who surrender all.” St. Bernadette Soubirous.

Lord Jesus, You call us to pray and fasting as You did. May we participate in this Lenten observance spontaneously, without show, without counting the cost and expecting no return. May this time be a time of transformation that peace may be in our homes and in the world. Amen.

MIÉRCOLES DE CENIZA - 2 de marzo de 2022 – Comienzo de la Cuaresma.

Nuestro Santo Padre, el Papa Francisco, nos pide que oremos y ayunemos por la paz en Ucrania.

"Incluso ahora", dice el Señor, "regresa a mí con todo tu corazón, con ayuno, con llanto y con luto; y rasguen sus corazones y no sus vestiduras". Vuelvan al Señor, su Dios, porque él es compasivo y misericordioso, lento a la ira y abundante en misericordia y se arrepiente del mal". Joel 2:12-13.

Señor Jesús, Tú nos llamas a orar y ayunar como lo hiciste. Que podamos participar en esta observancia cuaresmal espontáneamente, sin espectáculo, sin contar el costo y sin esperar retorno. Que este tiempo sea un tiempo de transformación para que la paz pueda estar en nuestros hogares y en el mundo. Amén.
