Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

“And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:30-33.

“Men do not fear a powerful hostile army as much as the powers of hell fear the name and protection of Mary.” St. Bonaventure.

Lord Jesus, Your Mother was so highly favored that to have You in her womb she had to be conceived immaculately, without original sin. You purified her even before she was born because You her Son would be great, a King whose Kingdom has no end. May Your favor fall upon us as we struggle against temptations and the devil. Amen.

Fiesta de la Inmaculada Concepción de la Santísima Virgen María.

Y el ángel le dijo:“ María, no temas, porque has hallado gracia ante Dios. Y he aquí, concebirás en tu vientre y darás a luz un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Jesús. Este será grande, y será llamado Hijo del Altísimo; el Señor Dios le dará el trono de su padre David, y reinará sobre la casa de Jacob para siempre; y su reino no tendrá fin”. Lucas 1: 30-33.

"Los hombres no temen a un ejército poderoso y hostil tanto como los poderes del infierno temen al nombre y la protección de María". San Buenaventura.

Señor Jesús, Tu Madre fue tan favorecida que para tenerte en su vientre tuvo que ser concebida inmaculadamente, sin pecado original. La purificaste incluso antes de que naciera porque Tú, su Hijo, serías grande, un Rey cuyo Reino no tiene fin. Que tu favor caiga sobre nosotros mientras luchamos contra las tentaciones y el diablo. Amén.
