“Zadok became the father of Achim, Achim the father of Eliud, Eliud the father of Eleazar.  Eleazer became the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary.  Of her was born Jesus, who is called the Christ.” Matthew 1:14-16.

Lord Jesus – you are truly God, and truly human.  These are the names of your ancestors – we look eagerly ahead to the time, when we will meet yours and ours, face to face in your heavenly kingdom.  Heavenly family, pray for us! Amen.

Señor Jesús, eres verdaderamente Dios y verdaderamente humano. Estos son los nombres de sus antepasados; esperamos ansiosamente el tiempo en el que nos encontraremos con los suyos y los nuestros, cara a cara en su reino celestial. Familia celestial, ¡ruega por nosotros! amén.
